The FAA does not require recreational drone fliers to obtain a FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification. They are allowed to fly under an Exception for Recreational Fliers. However, if you fly your drone for anything other than recreational, including for the purpose of promoting any business (including influencers on YouTube or social media) you would be required to obtain your Part 107 certification.
